I glare at her. "When you've lived on streets since you were five, you always wake up on the wrong side of the bed."

I roll my eyes. "Happens to lots of kids," I mutter.

"I know because I am one of them, I have lived in an orphanage since the age of five and can't remember a thing about what happened before then" I say frustrated of my gross past.

"Yeah well my mom died. And I ran away to avoid the foster home. I'll never end up there. Never!"

"Listen this may not be the same to you, but I think I know how you feel about losing your mother...I lost my best friend." I say trying to hold back the tears. All of a sudden, I had a flashback from when I heard the gunshot. "Oh god" I say hiding my face.

"It's not the same. My mother was the only person I ever had, and she was stolen from me when I was five. Five! I was young and innocent then! If she didn't die I would still be in Venezuela right now, watching TV or playing with my Christmas presents! I wouldn't act this way."

"Well maybe it is the same! How would you know, you probably have never even had a best friend!" I screamed at her. Then I felt terrible for what I had said. "I'm sorry" I say as I burst in tears.
